Dr. Susan Manning was my instructor for Instructional Design. After introducing ourselves to our cohort and getting to know each other, we built a website for our projects. I created an Alignment Chart, Syllabus, and Graphic Syllabus, edited a closed-captioned video, and curated an online magazine. We also read about and discussed the importance of chunking our assignments for maximum retention. While planning for my course, I chunked it into a theme, objectives, and assessments, then decided how I was to deliver the material to my students. I created an Alignment Chart to help me plan the absorb, do, and connect activities. I also worked through a UDL (Universal Design for Learning) tutorial. I earned my UDL Apprentice badge. Dr. Manning also awarded me a Deep Thinker badge for participating in the discussion.
